What's a sample sale?

A sample sale is an event hosted by designers to sell samples and prototypes that are no longer in production. Items are sold "as is" at a reduced price (final sale). You can find one of a kind pieces, and nearly-new designs deeply discounted. (Insider tip: treat it like a treasure hunt! Sometimes we put items in the sale that we LOVE, but can no longer source the materials OR the item was too costly to put into production)

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Over 300 Leah Yard Designs jewellery items to shop up to 80% OFF (including one of a kind designs)
• Special bundle pricing (3 single cloths for $60) from Lavoh reusable facecloths: an eco-friendly solution to makeup removal
• Light refreshments
• Celebration! If you've been to one of our Sample Sales you know how fun they are. Since we're hosting this one later in the season, we are determined to make it worth the wait ;)

I'm out of town, will there be an online version?

There is no way to truly bring the LYD sample sale experience online. Having said that, we understand not everyone can visit the studio. We are working on something to offer those who simply can't make the event in person. Stay tuned! 

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, you are absolutely welcome to bring guests. Unfortunately the space is not pet friendly.

When and where is the event?

The event will be hosted at our LYD studio in Chinatown. The address is: 161 Keefer Street, Unit 201 (right above Bao Bei Restaurant) *please note: the building is not wheelchair accessible. The event will run from 12pm-4pm on Sunday, May 26th. We recommend coming early for your best chance to find a one of a kind piece!

Is there parking?

The building does not have reserved parking. There is a parkade down the street at 180 Keefer Street (inside the Chinatown Plaza) 

Are there photos of the jewellery that will be at the sale?

Each sample sale is different! We'll be sharing some behind the scenes looks as we get ready for the event. You can have a peek at some of the pieces we had last year here.

Will the regular LYD collection be available to shop? Will it be on sale?

Yes, we will have a display set up to shop at the event! Our regular collection will have a special discount just for the event.

Why is there only one other brand this season?

Word has gotten out about how fun our Sample Sales are! As we grow, we want to make sure we don't overwhelm the space. Every season we thoughtfully choose a brand to team up with that aligns with our values. This year, we're thrilled to welcome Lavoh into the studio:)

I'm not sure if I can make it, do I need to rsvp?

You do not need to rsvp. Doors will be open from 12pm-4pm. We hope to see you there!

What payments are accepted?

We accept cash, debit, or credit cards in the studio.
